Proposed recentring of manufacturing activities at Honfleur site

CECA today presented to the Central Works Council a project for the industrial reorganisation of its Honfleur facility designed to recentre the site on growth and high added value activities,

in particular molecular sieve production.

CECA’s Honfleur industrial site (Calvados, Normandy) houses the production of molecular sieves, precipitated silica and expanded perlite, and the packaging of dehydrating clay.
The project presented today entails consolidating the production of molecular sieves, a range of high added value products with growth markets. It also involves the shutdown of the perlite

and dehydrating clay plants, as both these activities are suffering from a lack of competitiveness.

With this reorganisation which aims to strengthen the Honfleur site and secure its future, CECA continues its drive to recentre its production facilities and enhance its competitiveness.
The implementation of this project, which provides for the redeployment within the Honfleur site of all 14 employees affected by the loss of a post, is subject to the prior legal information and

consultation process with the trade unions.
