CECA is facing huge increases in the costs of energy and transportation. For several years, CECA has implemented programmes to reduce the costs of production and especially those of energy consumption. However, the cost savings do not compensate for the huge increases in the costs of energy and transportation that we have experienced over recent months. Their impact on the manufacturing costs of diatomaceous earth, perlite and other functional minerals is significant as those are based on drying and calcination techniques.
As a result, we need to implement an energy surcharge, effective on all shipments from August 1st 2008 of 20 euros per tonne (VAT not included), which will be charged as a specific item on each invoice.
This energy surcharge will apply for a period of 3 months and will be adjusted after this period, in line with energy cost fluctuations.

CECA ist von einem sehr hohen Energiekostenanstieg betroffen. CECA hat über lange Jahre Programme zur Einsparung von Energie- und Produktionskosten durchgeführt, die aber auch diese drastischen Erhöhungen nicht ausgleichen können. Deren Einfluss auf den Produktionsprozess der Diatomenerde (Kieselgur), Perlite und anderen funktionellen Mineralstoffen ist enorm, wenn diese bei der Herstellung auf Trocknung und Kalzinierung basieren.
Deshalb wird CECA für alle Kunden ab dem 1. August 2008 einen Energiekostenzuschlag berechnen, der separat auf der Rechnung ausgewiesen wird.
Dieser Zuschlag wird für einen Zeitraum von 3 Monaten erhoben und wird entweder gestrichen, oder nach oben oder unten angepasst, abhängig von der Energiekostenentwicklung.
Der Energiekostenzuschlag wird 20 EUR/to betragen, Mehrwertsteuer nicht enthalten, gültig vom 1. August - 31. Oktober 2008.

CECA sufre drasticas alzas del costo de la energía sin precedentes. Los programas de reducción de costos y de ganancias de productividad puestas en ejecución desde hace varios años, no permiten mas absorber estas alzas cuyo impacto es màs fuerte sobre los procedimientos de fabricación de tierras de diatomeas, perlitas y otros minerales funcionales, basados en técnicas de secado y calcinación.
En consecuencia, a partir del 1 de agosto de 2008, CECA se ve en la obligación de facturar al conjunto de sus clientes, una sobrecarga de energía cuyo importe aparecerá sobre un línea de facturación específica.
Esta sobrecarga energía se aplicará por una duración de 3 meses y será susceptible de ser suprimida, prolongada o revalorizada a la alza como a la baja con el fin de reflejar las fluctuaciones de los costos de la energía.
El monto de la sobrecarga energía será de 20 EURO por tonelada fuera de impuestos, entre el 1 de agosto y 31 de octubre de 2008.
