CECA Bitumen Additives.
CECA launches its Warm Mix Asphalt brochure for bitumen producers.

Europe's n°1 in this sector, CECA launches its Warm Asphalt Mix brochure for bitumen producers. Warm asphalt mix enhanced with the CECABASE RT® additive is now used on European roads. 300,000 tonnes of warm asphalt mix enhanced with the CECABASE RT® additive were laid in Europe last year.
In this 6-page brochure, CECA's bitumen additives specialists set out the 6 strong points of this additive which in 2007 earned the Potier Prize medal for chemistry " at the service of the environment ":
1. the benefits of Cecabase RT® in terms of handling, compaction, cohesion and rutting resistance compared to the hot technology,
2. a higher recycled aggregate content in the bitumen mix thanks to the workability performance of CECABASE RT® (up to 50%),
3. eco-responsible balance: this organic, renewable, recyclable and environmentally sound additive requires no modification to the asphalt mixing plant process, while lowering the temperature,
4. the benefits of lower temperature for the road construction site's neighbourhood and for the site operators,
5. enhanced productivity in the mixing plant and a wider operating radius from the mixing plant (multiplied by 4),
6. a longer road construction season in all weather and in every region of the globe.
